Admission Criteria & Selection Procedure

No candidate shall be eligible for admission to the MPSM course of studies unless he/she has passed the Honours Degree examination or Bachelor's Degree in any professional course of Calcutta University or any other University/Institution considered equivalent thereto and fulfills other conditions stipulated by the University for the MPSM course.

The minimum qualification for admission to the Course is a Bachelor's Degree (in 10+2+3 system) with Honours Science/Commerce/Art/ Business Administration or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Science/Law or its equivalent from any University recognized by the University of Calcutta.

Although all graduates are eligible to apply for MPSM Courses, however, for specialization and MBA in Environmental Management from IISWBM, India, preference is given to the graduates as indicated below –

Graduates with honours or equivalent in Engineering / Science/ Economics/ Bachelor in Business Administration or Bachelor/Master in Computer Applications are eligible to apply.

All graduates must have a degree from AICTE/UGC approved engineering institutes/ colleges.

The applicants for the admission to the MPSM Course - MBA in Environmental Management are required to take CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ JEMAT/ GATE/ GMAT. The candidates short listed on the basis of cut-off-marks in the above selection tests would be required to appear for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IISWBM, Kolkata. The final selection of candidates will be strictly on the basis of merit.

Course Structure:

Semester	Details
First Semester	All students undergo compulsory 8 papers related to the basic principles and theories of management.
Second to Third Semester	Students undergo courses on their respective specialization covering 8 papers in each Semester.
Fourth Semester	Project Work/Internship, Dissertation Paper/Seminar/Case Study, Viva voce, etc.

Placement Record

All the students of MPSM course get job placement support towards the end of the 3rd semester, i.e., December-January. Reputed companies from all over India come to the Institute for conducting campus interviews and recruit students who have completed MBA in Environmental Management.

Opportunities are available for project work all over India. The dissertation/ project work in companies/ organizations is carried out as a part of 4th semester program.
