IISWBM is one of the very few Institutes to offer MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management in India. No candidate shall be eligible for admission to the MPSM course of studies unless he/she has passed the Honours Degree examination or Bachelor's Degree in any professional course of Calcutta University or any other University/Institution considered equivalent thereto and fulfills other conditions stipulated by the University for the MPSM course.
The minimum qualification for admission to the MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management Course is a Bachelor's Degree (in 10+2+3 system) with Honours Science / Commerce / Art/ Business Administration or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medical Science / Law or its equivalent from any University recognized by the University of Calcutta.
Although all graduates are eligible to apply for MPSM Courses, however preference for specialization is given to the graduates as indicated below:
MBBS, AYUSH, BDS, BPT, B.OPTM. Bachelor in Business Administration, Nursing, Law Graduates with honours or equivalent in Pharmacy, Science, Arts, Economics, Commerce and Engineering are eligible to apply.
All other graduates must have a degree with honours or equivalent.
The applicants for admission to the MPSM Course are required to take CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ JEMAT/ GATE/ GMAT. The candidates short listed on the basis of cut-off-marks in the above selection tests would be required to appear for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IISWBM, Kolkata, India. The final selection of candidates for MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management Course will be strictly on the basis of merit.

All the students of MPSM course get job placement support towards the end of the 3rd semester, i.e., December-January. Reputed companies from all over India come to the Institute for conducting campus interviews. Opportunities are available for project work all over India. The dissertation/ project work in companies/ organizations is carried out as a part of 4th semester program.
